Project Management
Fieldstone is oriented around a project management structure, rather than a functional
structure. This means that a single project manager is responsible for a given project
throughout its life. The person responsible for creating the land plan and obtaining
entitlements is also responsible for constructing the improvements and getting the
product sold. This structure increases efficiency and reduces error because there
is no loss of knowledge as the project is transferred through multiple stages in
the process.
Fieldstone utilizes a "partnering" concept whereby project managers, construction
managers, field personnel, architects, key subcontractors and other consultants
meet frequently to review project schedules, entitlements and other project aspects.
Through this approach, Fieldstone has achieved more effective field operations,
including better responsiveness and working relationships with both municipalities
and subcontractors.
“Fieldstone’s winning formula is based on leadership that comes from the spirit of its founders and leaders, and their extension of the family in the workplace. There is no dissonance between what Fieldstone is and what it does nor what it believes and how it leads. It lives its tradition of excellence, each day.”
